What does Handlex do?

Handlex provides ground-handling and airport services to several airlines at international airports in Montreal (Mirabel), Toronto and Vancouver. These include passenger services, baggage handling, and aircraft cleaning. Handlex has 1,200 employees in Canada and is a member of the international Transat A.T. family, an integrated company that specializes in organizing, marketing, and distributing travel holidays. A leader in Canada, Transat is also active in more than 60 countries and plays a key role in the tourism industry internationally.

What are the hours or shifts?

Positions involve shift work. An individual needs to be available 24/7 and be flexible enough to work on various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays).

Do I get my work schedule in advance?

You receive your work schedule one (1) month in advance.

Is there any training? If so, is it paid and how long?

Yes, we offer training, and it is paid. The duration of the training depends on the position.

Do we need to wear a uniform? If so, is it paid for?

Yes, you are required to wear a uniform, and the employer pays for the uniform.

Are there city buses that run during the night at the airport?

No, from 1 AM to 5 AM, there are no city buses that go to the airport.

Is there an employee parking lot at the airport? Do we need to pay for this parking?

Yes, you have a parking spot at the airport, and the employer pays it for you.
